From Riley's Walk: Riley McBrine
15-year-old, Riley McBrine has been actively involved in raising money for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation (ORCF) since he was 7 years old. He has participated in lemonade stands, organized walk events, etc. In his short life, he has personally raised over $10,000!
He has seen what Cancer can do to families and he wants to help to stop it, so he had created this exciting event 3 years ago: Riley’s 5KM Walk for Cancer Care.
This manageable 5KM walk will go through the residential streets of Barrhaven raising money and awareness for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.
Each participant in the event is requested to raise a minimum of $100.00 per walker. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to ORCF.
This Community event will take place on Sunday May 28th starting at 11:00 am. Along with the walk, participants and community members will have the opportunity to access different items such as local vendors, BBQ and a Kids Korner as well as some other “surprises”!
This event is sure to be fun for all family members!
