For Remembrance Day…

• Thursday, November 9 to Friday, November 10 | Meridian Theatres at Centrepointe hosts two intimate performances featuring the sounds of the 1930s, ‘40s, and ‘50s, expertly performed by the Grey Jazz Big Bang.

• Saturday, November 11 | Commemorate in person the men and women who served in Canada’s military at the National War Memorial, from home via television broadcast, or via the Royal Canadian Legion’s Facebook page. FREE!

• Saturday, November 11 | Attend the annual Remembrance Day Ceremony at Beechwood Cemetery. FREE!

• Saturday, November 11 | Learn how to make a single-needle flat-beaded poppy in a self-paced online workshop led by the National Arts Centre (ages 16 and up, with basic sewing experience recommended).

• Until Saturday, November 11 | See thousands of poppies honouring Fallen Canadian Veterans as they cascade virtually upon the Peace Tower at Parliament Hill and on the Senate building. FREE!

• Until Sunday, November 12 | Discover the meaning and importance of Remembrance Day symbols, create a poppy with a message of thanks for a fallen soldier or spend a moment of quiet reflection in the Hall of Tribute at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum. FREE! for all active Canadian military personnel and Canadian military veterans.

• Until Sunday, November 12 | Visit the Canadian War Museum and learn how remembering is conveyed via artifacts, human experiences, and more by walking the museum’s Remembrance Path.
