Budget 2024 - Approved

Budget 2024 continues to make #Barrhaven a better community, this time with a district park along the scenic Jock River and will allow you to take advantage of the treasured greenspace around us! With this budget, $9,517,900 will be spent towards developing the Jock River North District Park, an increase of $2,375,000.

You'll be able to take a walk through the forest patches along the bay of the Jock River, and so will your furry companion with a dog park! For those that want to rejuvenate with some activity, take a go at the frisbee golf range, take some swings on the river-side tennis/pickleball court, compete on the mixed-use sports field, or hit the ice puddle rink! Finally, the little ones can burn off their endless energy on the splash pad and playground!

This is all included in the initial planning (subject to change) from Engage Ottawa. Public consultations on the park ended this October and work will now begin on developing the final plan and soon, construction!
