After the Rideau Transit Group's public testimony giving an update on their progress on addressing issues with Line 1, Councillor David Hill submitted an inquiry looking for clarity on why Line 1 originally derailed and what technical solutions will be necessary to return the service back to full operations.

The Line 1 system operates safely at the moment as a result of the continued implementation of some extreme mitigations that were never meant to be the long-term fix.
