There will be a pathway added, going from the dog park and under the Strandherd bridge, allowing convenient access to the park from Clarke Fields area and the Old Barrhaven walking network.

Good news for you and your furry companions! There is a proposed plan for a dog park in our community (located near Gregory Casey Stormwater Pond)!

The following is the design proposal before public feedback:

The proposed dog park is currently designed to include:

-- A main entrance enclosure to allow for secure leashing and un-leashing

-- a large, in-ground waste receptacle, and

-- separate entrances to two distinct areas: a small-dog park, and a large-dog park.

Additionally, both the large and small dog areas are proposed to include:

-- an area of gravel surfacing (decomposed granite) as well as a grassed area

-- an accessible, asphalt path

-- metal ‘pee posts’

-- benches, and

-- proposed and/or existing trees.
