OPS Traffic Operation in Barrhaven: 'Car Meets', Stunt Driving, and more

Ottawa Police #ResidentsMatter patrol continued its consistent crackdown on late-night, high-speed, high-risk, and disruptive drivers.

➡️A 21-year-old man was stopped on Strandherd Dr doing 137 km/h in a 70 zone. Charged with Stunt Driving, Unnecessary Noise, No Muffler, and Fail to Surrender Insurance.

➡️A 54-year-old man was caught at 142 km/h in an 80 zone on Greenbank Rd near Barnsdale. Charged with Stunt Driving. The Ontario Provincial Police also assisted with this stop.

➡️11 Provincial Offense Notices were issued.

➡️Several charges also included court summons.

Additionally, drivers in relation to the disruptive 'car meet' were issued tickets for distracted driving, unnecessary noise / no muffler, and obstructed plates.
