The City of Ottawa has approved the renewal of a section of the railway path near Houlahan Park due to its current poor condition. Scheduled for construction completion in 2026.

Scheduled construction:

The renewal of a section of the railway path near Houlahan Park is anticipated to start Monday June 15th and be substantially completed by June 25th - with minor landscape work expected to take place in August 2026. The pathway will be reconstructed and will be widened to 3 meters in width, instead of the existing 2 meters.
