Nepean Housing Corporation Seeking Volunteer-Based Board Members

The Nepean Housing Corporation is seeking new members to serve on our Board. The Nepean Housing Corporation is a community-based non-profit housing corporation that owns and manages both rent-geared-to-income and market rent housing for individuals, families with children and senior citizens in its 559 units located in the South Nepean/Barrhaven, Bells Corners and Centrepointe areas.

The Board of Directors provides strategic leadership to the organization by committing to excellence in governance and supporting organizational health for optimum achievement of its goals and mandate. The ten-member volunteer board is comprised of a team of leaders with combined experiences in governance, accounting, HR, legal, business management, real estate and land-use planning, building systems technology, marketing, and housing and homelessness advocacy. All members have a personal passion for volunteering and for making a difference in the lives of individuals, families with children and senior citizens that reside in our communities.

We currently have a priority for individuals with a background in affordable rental housing development, land use planning, project management, housing and homelessness advocacy and, prior non-profit board experience would be an asset.
