School Visits with Ottawa Police and Ottawa Bylaw

I have visited several of our schools over the past weeks with representation from the Ottawa Police and City By-law services. I have asked them to include additional presence patrols in our school areas in order to address some of the chaos that, left unchecked, may well cause an accident.  I also recognize that the intersection at Kilbirnie and Alex Polowin remains a two way stop only and I have asked for this to be reverted to a 4-way stop.  In addition, I will be speaking to all of the community associations in the fall and winter in order to update the list of traffic safety considerations for further investment.
