Speaking with GM of OC Transpo regarding bus capacity at Fallowfield station

This was a grind week for Barrhaven commuters and I am sorry for the miserable experience that you had on Monday and Tuesday.  I spoke with the General Manager of OC Transpo on Tuesday, and you can find the details about it here. In summary, there were several cancellations on Monday and Tuesday that caused the backlog of riders.  They dispatched a supervisor and extra busses on Wednesday and the flow was certainly better.  Although I want to see the ‘accordion effect’ of multiple busses arriving at Fallowfield in succession and then the gap of 10 minutes get more spread out, I was glad to see that commuters at Fallowfield later in the week did not have to wait while packed busses passed them. I will be adamant with OC Transpo that, when the rebalanced bus routes and O-Train Line 2 (Limebank) come into effect later this fall, the transitway corridor cannot leave passengers stranded. The Fallowfield to Tunney's corridor needs to be frequent and consistently accessible to our transit riders.
