Additional $10.86 million secured for Greenbank Realignment - Budget 2025

Thursday's meeting had important implications for Barrhaven, as it focused on the transportation infrastructure budget.  The Greenbank realignment has been my top priority in advocation with the mayor, city manager, staff and all stakeholders and I was very pleased to see that for the second year in a row, we have received an additional $10.6M in order to support an acceleration for the construction of this critical infrastructure project.  It is not lost on me the imbalance in development, especially in Half Moon Bay and with the continued growth, we need to ensure that the proper road systems are in place.  Thank you to everyone that has reached out to me on this over the past several months as the retail development is beginning at Cambrian and the realignment intersection.
