Greenbank realignment start date officially moved up to 2026

I have a couple of key updates regarding the Greenbank Realignment. Firstly, the project start timing, originally scheduled for 2030, has officially been moved up to 2026, confirmed on the City of Ottawa's website, here. In Budget 2024, $20 million was secured for the Greenbank Realignment, allowing for the detailed design process and project start date to be expedited. Additionally, staff have published the detailed design of the Greenbank Realignment, which you can find here. Just to note, the PDF files are large and will take time to load. I have asked staff to split the files up to make it easier to see them in the future. An in-person public information session will be held at a later date to discuss the Preliminary Design Drawings and the Phased Construction Work anticipated to start in 2026, and I will continue to keep you informed on project developments and news.
