Major advancement for Greenbank realignment; $20 million secured for project

This week was massive for the advancement of the Greenbank realignment.  If this is remotely of interest to you, please read the CBC coverage of transportation committee from this week HERE.  I had the opportunity to address Transportation Committee at this meeting as well which you can watch here.  In summary, the Transportation budget passed through Committee (with two dissenting Councillors from Orleans).  The budget includes an additional $20M in 2024 allocated for the Greenbank realignment and specifically designed to commence the first phase of construction well before the current timeline of 2030.  Once the Budget is finalized in December, I will have more to report regarding the next steps in this process.
